A bit about me

My interest in Dressage to Music began when I heard and saw some of the limitations of using music which had not been written specifically for the paces of horses and ponies in Dressage competitions - i.e. long gaps, incompatible music styles, disjointed transitions and most importantly, frustrated, embarrassed and unhappy riders and horses. After discussion with various Dressage to Music experts (at a local and National level) I developed a matrix of the 'average' musical speed (or tempo) of horses and ponies of different sizes whilst in different paces (walk, trot and canter). I used this matrix to develop a freestyle Dressage to Music competition programme and training series. The CD Series was developed and launched at the Pony Club Conference 2005 in Cheltenham - UK. The series was a success and I have received a lot of feedback from satisfied customers who have found the CD's extremely useful. They have said how they have benefited from using the CD's not only in Dressage to Music competitions but many trainers have reported improved general riding skill and timing improvement in their club members. ALL have said how much of a positive difference riding to music has meant to their enjoyment when riding.
